Services | Usage Policy

The American Corner Kapan provides free and open access to informational, educational, recreational and cultural resources for patrons of all ages and backgrounds. AC staff will answer your questions and if necessary help you to navigate the Internet.


Time Limits
Computers are available on a first come first served basis. If others are waiting, there is a 1 hour time limit for patrons to use a computer. Patrons may reserve a computer in advance by calling the AC at 561383 In order to maximize availability of the Internet for all users, each individual is limited to a total of 2 hours per day, regardless of how many terminals are in use.


Email
The American Corner does not offer electronic mail accounts. You may use any free e-mail server for your e-mail.


Downloads
You may use pre-formatted disks or USB flash drives. Your Internet files may be downloaded or e-mailed.

You may not:
• Use the AC workstations to gain unauthorized access to library networks or computer systems or to any other network or computer system
• Make any attempt to damage computer equipment or software
• Make any attempt to cause degradation of system performance
• Use any workstation for illegal or criminal purpose
• Use Internet-games and chat-groups
• Have more than two persons at workstation at the same time
• Visit websites that may include inappropriate content

Sanctions
Violators of this Internet station use policy may lose AC patron privileges for up to one month. The AC reserves the right to terminate an Internet session at any time. Systematic violation of AC policy may cause the patron's deprivation of Internet access.
