On June 1, 2010, the American Corner in Kapan organized an "Everything for Children" program to celebrate International Children's Day. The Corner screened the film "Up" (2009) by Pixar animator Pete Docter for an audience of preschool children from a local kindergarten. Kids, their parents and teachers found the film entertaining. Corner staff also decorated the American Corner with balloons and flags to welcome the more than 30 event participants.
